On August 7, Yunnan Province's "Self-Driving Cloud Road" themed car rental and self-driving promotion event was launched in Lijiang Station. The event was themed "Journey to the Secret Land of Yulong Snow Mountain in Snowy Naxi". Many self-driving enthusiasts gathered in Lijiang and went to Jade Dragon Snow Mountain, Lashihai, and places such as Shigu Town, Liming Township, Tai'an Township, and Baisha Town in Yulong County to experience unique self-driving routes and feel the journey where the landscape and national culture complement each other.
In recent years, car rental and self-driving have become an important way for tourists to experience destinations in depth due to their characteristics such as independent itineraries, flexible stops, and wide coverage. As the fifth stop of the "Self-Driving Cloud Journey" theme car rental and self-driving promotion campaign, Lijiang Station is based on the rich local natural and cultural resources, exploring consumption scenarios in which car rental and self-driving connect transportation nodes, tourist attractions, and characteristic villages, providing tourists with more independent, convenient, and in-depth travel options.
The three experience routes launched this time have their own characteristics. The first route passes through Jiuzihai, Lanyue Valley and Wenhai Village, connecting alpine meadows, snow-capped mountain lakes, plateau wetlands and Naxi villages. Along the route, tourists can slow down, stop and watch the scenery, and feel the diverse charm of the plateau ecology between the natural landscape and rural life; the second route passes through Shi From Guzhen to Laojunshan Gladan Scenic Area, you can enjoy rivers and canyons, red culture and alpine meadows; the third route passes through Lashihai and Tai'an Township to Baisha Ancient Town, presenting a travel picture of wetlands, ancient villages and intangible cultural heritage intertwined. From wetland pastoral to ancient town streets, it integrates the ecological beauty, cultural charm and slow life experience of Lijiang.
According to reports, Lijiang City continues to improve the transportation and tourism integrated service system and has the capacity to supply about 4,000 rental vehicles. The city has built more than 155,000 parking spaces and more than 2,500 new energy charging piles, and has laid out supporting facilities such as gas stations and highway service stations to provide guarantee for self-driving travel. At present, Lijiang has launched more than 10 self-driving routes, including the Jade Dragon Snow Mountain-Baisha-Wenhai one-day loop, Lugu Lake self-driving, Lijiang-Shangri-La small loop, and northwest Yunnan large loop.
At the same time, Yulong County also uses roads as a link to promote the interconnection of scenic area connecting lines, tourist loops and rural roads, linking resources such as Yulong Snow Mountain, Baisha Ancient Town, the First Bay of the Yangtze River, and Lashi Sea, and promote the development of homestays, catering, intangible cultural heritage experience, ecological tourism, red study and other industries.
